School Tour 3rd & 4th class in The Glen Resource Centre
Fantastic Day in the Glen Resource Centre for the 3rd & 4th Class School Tour!
Gymnastics was great fun!
The Class created clay marine life including turtles, sharks, whales, eels and fish and using a shoebox created a habitat for their clay animals!
David Swift an archaeologist came from Heritage in Schools and introduced the class to the fashions, military attire, weaponry, coinage and folklore/beliefs of Viking Age Ireland!
In groups the class created different structures eg. a swing, tent, helicopter!
World Book Day- 3rd & 4th Class listened to Senior Infants reading their favourite stories!
Red Cabbage Juice as a ph Indicator Experiment- in this experiment, the class learnt how cabbage can be used to test liquids of varying acid levels. Depending on the pH of the liquid, the cabbage turns various shades of pink, purple, or green!
The Class created projects on their favourite hobbies or interests and presented them to the class!
For St Patrick's Day each child created their own Shamrock badge!
Papier Mache Volcanoes which we erupted using vinegar and baking powder!
